In April, we took our show team of 4 to the A class Pan Pacific
Showcase which was judged by internationally acclaimed judge, Liz Salmon
from the U.S.A. What a show it turned out to be!!!
Firstly, our gorgeous bay, yearling filly by Asfour Imp W. Germany –
Chaswyck on Gossemer Wings won her class and went onto to win Junior
Champion Filly. Then our 2 year old Filly Chaswyck Annakova by homebred
Chaswyck Ace of Spades, won her class and went Champion Intermediate
Filly.
Chaswyck Inkhatoon, a very striking colt by GR Nafees at only 6 months old
took Top 5 honours.
And Barafic won his 2 year old class and went Champion Colt
Then onto the Supremes! Where the young filly On Gossemer Wings went
Supreme Female AND Baarafic went Supreme Male. Can hardly ask for better
than that!!! It was the very first time shown for all of these youngsters.
Liz Salmon’s critique, - Chaswyck On Gossemer Wings,- 1st Place, Champion
and Supreme – “ she was stunning, with wonderful type and movement”
Chaswyck Annakova, 1st Place and Champion Intermediate Filly, - “ a lovely
filly with great type and an excellent body.”
Baarafic Imp U.S.A. – 1st Place, Champion and Supreme – “ I had no
hesitation in picking the fabulous Baarafic as my winning choice. In my
opinion this colt has everything that makes a top quality Arabian
stallion. He was breathtaking.”
On her way home from judging the Australian Championships, well known
English judge and handler, Emma Maxwell judged the Arabian Show in Western
Australia, where Sochain son, Chaswyck Desert Legend went Champion Colt.
Just weeks before he had also accomplished Champion Colt and Supreme
Purebred at the W.A. Junior Showcase. Congratulations to owner Elaine
Wylie and her grand daughter Christine Healy who so ably exhibited Legend.
The Challenge State Titles Championships which is Qld’s only“AA” class
show, held in May 2006 and judged by European identity, Christine Jamaar.
Chaswyck on Gossemer Wings ent Top 5 Filly, Chaswyck Inkhatoon and
Baarafic both went 2nd place and Top 5 Colts and Chaswyck Annakova went on
to win the Champion Filly for the second time! |

Congratulations to well known trainer Kyn Buchanan who ventured north
to the Arabian Triumph Show held in Maryborough, which held 2 A class
shows on the one weekend. Kym exhibited her Sochain son, Chaswyck Toi Boi
who went Champion Stallion on both days and his daughter, bred by Kym,
Centreline Wish competed under saddle for the first time.
This effervescent and lovely stallion always wins hearts and is proving to
be very successful as a top producer of very typey fillies! |

As,
unfortunately Simeon Sochain was recovering from a bout of Pleuro-
pneumonia, he couldn’t attend the Championships as planned, but at least
he was well represented by his illustrious son Kowhai Seclusion, who
topped his previous record of Australian Junior Champion by winning the
Senior Championship title! Well done to Sue Sinclair who owns and bred him |

this. It was well attended and we paraded a beautiful collection of

Late December 2005, saw the long awaited arrival of our yearling
straight Egyptian colt, Baarafic, from the U.S.A. Sired by the world
renowned champion stallion Imperial Baarez and out of Azamaah, a beautiful
Tammen daughter. Being ardent fans of Imperial Baarez, it was
inevitable that we should eventually own a son of his.
We are indebted to Duanne and Diane Cantey of Zajeddi Egyptian Arabians
from Arkansas who made it possible to own this beautiful, charismatic boy.
He arrived in great shape and is a big bundle of joy, with fabulous
temperament and personality. |

NEW GERMAN IMPORT FOR CHASWYCK - After
a quick trip to Germany by Lorraine, it was decided that our next
addition was to be GR Nafees from the world renowned Rothenberg Stud.
'Nafees' arrived in Australia in January after travelling for 7 weeks!
He has settled in well and is just being allowed to be a horse at
the moment and growing up with our other babies. He is only a yearling
by our standards and hopefully will take up stud duties next year.
His sire is the beautiful black stallion Madallan-Madheen and his
mother is by the ethereal Classic Shadwan. Nafees is black and shows
all the promise of his forebears, so Chaswyck stud is very confident
that he will compliment their beautiful mares and be a worthy asset
to Australian breeding.

in the hack ring. After him winning Horse of the Year 2003 with Gabby
Sales, and Supreme Champion Egyptian bred halter horse plus Champion
Gelding under saddle at the Top of the Range 'A' class arabian show.
He went on this year to take out Supreme Champion at the 3 ring circus,
Exhibition qualifier for the hacks, much to the amazement of many
'hackies'. He also went Champion at thre Pan Pacific and Reserve
Champion at the Challenge this year. We have his full sister for
sale who has just been broken in and promises to be just as good
as her brother! |

|
Ace's
foals have arrived and have created quite a buzz. All four (3 fillies & 1
colt) are like peas in a pod, confirming the consistant quality that
'Ace' is producing. Needless to say we are all thrilled. Some will
be for sale and are destined fr the show ring. All are extremel typey
with short heads, good necks, lovely short bodies, good legs and
feet plus have attitude to burn.
